Scott and his team did a fantastic job! Despite a rainy spring, our extensive project (full siding, multiple windows, new gutters, new shutters…) was completed on budget and ahead of schedule! We also had a few surprises along the way with some extra repairs for under the surface wood rot (which really needed to be repaired regardless of the new siding), but Scott’s team kept us informed and involved. Scott did an excellent job from patiently working with us on a plan for our home’s exterior through completing the installation of James Hardie siding, exterior lighting, a new garage door and new gutters. Although we decided not to add new windows and a front door, he provided bids for that work as well. Scott’s installers were professional and courteous as well as true craftsman who took great pride in their work. Scott was attentive and quick to respond to issues that arose (termites, wood rot, etc.) and helped us to resolve them. When you consider all that goes into the making and selling of a window—raw materials, manufacturing, transportation, etc.—you’ll realize it’s literally impossible for companies in the Kansas City metro area to sell $189 windows. $189 windows are a foot-in-the-door tactic for window companies. During the appointment, the window company tries to sell you on “upgrades,” which are actually features that should come standard in any average-quality window. It’s like a car dealership advertising a brand-new pink Cadillac for $5,000… but waiting until you’re at the dealership before telling you the price doesn’t include an engine, tires, a radio, seats, air conditioning, or a transmission. In theory, it’s a Cadillac. In reality, it’s a useless hunk of junk.
