I loved my career at Hardie. I started by training siding contractors in Kansas City and around the country how to properly install James Hardie products, and inspecting their work. I’ve literally trained thousands of siding contractors from Wichita to Boston on how to install James Hardie Siding efficiently and properly. From there I started managing sales teams and later entire regions. I even worked directly for Hardie’s CEO for over 2 years. My most joyous memories of my tenure at Hardie centered around coaching and providing guidance to exterior replacement contracting businesses. Some contractors “Fall into Remodeling” because it was a family business or simply a paycheck. I fell in love with it. There was nothing like sitting in the home and helping a homeowner design their own curb appeal or solve a woodpecker problem.
The more I worked with Kansas City siding contractors and exterior remodeling companies – and their home owners – the more I loved remodeling and problem-solving. The flip side is that I constantly saw contractors who were terrible at communicating and had poor professionalism. Most wanted to do right by the homeowner but their lack of professionalism and follow-through lead to unhappy clients. Scott, Nicholas and the Fairway Exteriors team did a great job installing James Hardie siding – replacing existing vinyl siding that overlaid stucco. The team performed quickly and Scott/Nicholas provided consistent progress throughout the project. As with all older houses the real work is repairing and accounting for the parts of the house that may not be true or suffering from other issues. The Fairway team addressed all issues and the final installation looked like we’ve had it all along. Would recommend.

Superior performance in every respect from start to finish. Our 40+ yrs old bat and board wood siding had once again needed wood rot repair as well as a new paint job. We got the usual paint bids but also contacted Fairway (based on reviews) to consider replacing it with James Hardie siding. And we are glad we did. We worked with Fairway Exteriors and had a good experience. We did both siding and windows as well and have been pleased with the work for both. We chose Fairway based on reviews from others and their pricing was competitive. The onsite installers were professional and there was always a foreman on site we could communicate directly with. He also gave us daily updates on progress, questions or issues. We had issues with a leaky exterior faucet and a gas line that they discovered and we had a third party come out to fix. Those were our only additional costs.

The quote came in quickly and when we decided go move forward they were able to squeeze us in a lot faster than we assumed.
